1. On 1989-90 models, with engine cold and idling, move A/C mode selector, if equipped, to NORM. Coolant fan should turn on.
2. On 1991-92 models, with ambient temperature air temperature above 70°F, open all doors, start vehicle and set A/C mode selector to MAX. Coolant fan should turn on.
3. On all models, with engine coolant below operating temperature, move A/C mode selector to OFF. Coolant fan should turn off in a short time.
4. With engine warm, run engine at a fast idle for several minutes. Coolant fan should turn on before coolant temperature indicator shows H.
5. Turn ignition switch off. On VIN K, coolant fan should turn off. On VIN M, coolant fan should run until engine coolant temperature lowers. On VIN T, coolant fan should turn off.
