Fig. 15 Exploded View Of Oil Pump Assembly:

1. Drain oil from pump into a suitable container.
2. Remove pump driveshaft, then remove pickup tube and screen assembly.
3. Remove pump cover attaching screws, then remove pump cover and gears, Fig. 15.
4. Carefully remove regulator valve plug, spring and valve from pump housing. If valve is difficult to remove, soak pump housing in a suitable carburetor cleaning solvent.
