1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Place ignition switch in On position, then set transaxle selector lever in the 1 position.
3. Using a suitable pointed plastic tool, remove package panel, Fig. 8.
4. Remove front center console attaching screws from under ashtray and plastic cap, Fig. 9.
5. On models with automatic transaxle, remove selector lever, then pull indicator strap from cover. Remove retaining clips and trim cover.
6. On models with manual transaxle, remove shift knob, trim plate and boot.
7. On all models, remove front console.
8. Remove four console upper attaching screws, then slide console toward rear of vehicle.
9. Remove radio from instrument panel, Fig. 10.
