Manual Climate Controls

DESCRIPTION

The Blower Motor speed is controlled by the Blower Switch in the heater and A/C Control Assembly.

OPERATION

With the switch in LO, all of the Blower Resistors are in the circuit with the Motor so that it runs slowly. In the M1 and M2 positions, the Blower Switch bypasses some of the resistors increasing the motor speed.

The Blower Motor is fed through the contact of the Blower Relay. When the Blower Switch is in HI, battery voltage is supplied through the ORN (52) wire to the coil of the Blower Relay. The relay is energized and its contacts supply battery voltage directly to the Blower Motor from RH Underhood Fuse Block Fuse 3. The Blower Motor runs at maximum speed.

When the Mode Selector is in OFF, no voltage is applied to the Blower Switch and Motor so the blower does not run. In all others positions, the blower operates as described.
