Troubleshooting Hints

1. If Compass Display consistently indicates NNE direction, check I/P Fuse Block Fuse 20 by observing DIC operation.
2. Check that Compass is set for proper zone.
^ Press MODE button for 3 to 5 seconds.
^ Release button when display blanks and word ZONE appears.
^ Compare the number following the word ZONE to the Compass Zone Map. It should be the same number as designated for your area.
^ If number is correct, press MODE button and refer to SYSTEM CHECK.
^ If number is incorrect, press SET button until correct number is shown. Press the MODE button.
^ If number is 00 and it does not change when SET button is pressed, perform Test A.
3. If Compass changes direction when Rear defogger is turned on, check PNK/WHT (676) wire.
4. If CALIBRATE lights, perform calibration procedures. Make sure calibration is performed in an open area free of large structures and power lines.
