CLICK/SNAP NOISE FROM DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE (DIAGNOSE/REPLACE DRIVER SIDE WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY)

1992 PONTIAC SSE AND SSEI MODELS
CONDITION:
Some owners of 1992 Pontiac SSE and SSEI models may comment of an audible "click" or "slap" noise from the driver's side windshield wiper blade as the blade reverses direction from the full vertical position.
CAUSE:
The driver's side windshield wiper arm stop finger may contact the windshield surface as the blade reverses direction due to insufficient height from the wiper arm mounting hole and the windshield glass.
CORRECTION:
If this condition is experienced and cannot be repaired by using currently published service procedures found in Section 8E of the Service Manual, it may be necessary to replace the driver's side windshield wiper blade assembly with a new assembly.
