SUBJECT:
ARMREST BIN LID MOUNTING PLATE BREAKAGE
(INSTALL NEW MOUNTING PLATE)

MODELS:
1992-94 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE

CONDITION:

Some owners may comment on breakage of the armrest bin lid mounting plate.

CAUSE:

Breakage is due to the armrest bin lid being extended too far while open.

CORRECTION:

ARMREST BIN LID 1992-94 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE:

The mounting plate for the armrest bin lid has been redesigned. Do not replace both the bin lid and the bin lid mounting plate. The correct procedure is to replace the bin lid mounting plate only.

1. Remove the armrest bin lid. Refer to Section 8C in the Service Manual.

2. Remove bin lid mounting plate fasteners and mounting plate.

3. Install new bin lid mounting plate, P/N 25536564 and fasteners.

4. Install armrest bin lid. Refer to Section 8C in the Service Manual.
