Owner Letter
July, 1992Dear Pontiac Bonneville Owner,
General Motors has determined that some 1992 Bonneville model vehicles were produced at the Wentzville Assembly Plant with incorrect certification Labels. The vehicle certification label located on the driver door of these vehicles was printed with "03/91 " in the "date" (month/year of manufacture) space rather than the correct "03/92" date.
WHAT WE WILL DO
To correct this condition, a new label is to be affixed to each affected vehicle. We have enclosed a new label for your vehicle. You may install this label yourself or take the label and your vehicle to a Pontiac dealer for installation at no charge to you.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Instructions for installing this label are given on the back side of this letter. The time to install the new label is approximately five (5) minutes.
If you install the new label, rather than asking your dealer to do it or if you have sold or traded your vehicle, please let us know by completing the postage paid owner reply card and returning it to us. This will assist us in assuring that all affected vehicles have been corrected and also will eliminate the necessity for bothering you with follow-up notifications.
We are sorry to cause you this inconvenience; however, we have taken this action in the interest of your continued satisfaction with our products.
