Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair

FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND/OR HUB

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove disc brake caliper. Once removed, the caliper can be wired or secured in some manner away from the disc. Do not allow caliper to hang from brake hose.
3. Remove spindle nut and hub and disc assembly. Grease retainer and inner wheel bearing can now be removed.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
