System Bleeding
1. Clean area around clutch fluid reservoir, then remove cap and add DOT 3 type brake fluid as necessary to bring to proper level.2. At clutch actuator, fully loosen bleeder screw located near fluid inlet line connection.
3. Allow system to gravity bleed until a steady stream of fluid is expelled from bleeder valve. Maintain reservoir level during gravity bleeding operation.
4. After air has been expelled from slave cylinder, tighten bleeder screw.
5. Push clutch fork lightly toward actuator, then open bleeder screw. While maintaining light force on clutch fork, tighten bleeder screw.
6. Push clutch fork lightly toward actuator with bleeder screw closed. This will force any remaining air into reservoir.
7. Check clutch system by starting vehicle, then select reverse gear with clutch pedal fully depressed. If gears do not grate, system is satisfactory. If gears do grate, repeat bleeding procedure.
8. Check actuator output rod travel. Minimum travel should be 0.43 inch.
