Windows: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION:The Power Windows are driven by reversible permanent magnet motors. Each motor is controlled by a switch with two sets of contacts that are normally closed to ground. With the Power Window Switch in the UP position, one set of contacts is closed, applying battery volt age to the Power Window Motor. The remaining set of contacts remains closed, providing a path to ground and completing the circuit. With the Power Window Switch in the DN position, the functions of the switches are reversed and the motor runs in the opposite direction.
