Fig. 108 I/P Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove left sound insulator.
2. Remove steering column filler, drivers side air deflectors, then the instrument panel cover.
3. Remove left instrument panel trim plate, then the upper and lower instrument panel compartments.
4. Remove radio and heater and A/C control.
5. Remove defroster grille, then the upper instrument panel screw covers and screws.
6. Disconnect brake switches, then remove bulkhead.
7. Remove steering column upper and lower covers, steering column bolts, then lower column and allow to rest on seat.
8. Remove right center support screw at left of instrument panel compartment opening, then the right sound insulator.
9. Disconnect 23 way electrical connector.
10. Remove lower instrument panel screws, then the instrument panel from vehicle, Fig. 108.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
