Vehicle Damage Warnings

SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
Before attempting any service which requires opening refrigerant lines or components, be sure you are thoroughly familiar with handling Refrigerant-12, and handling refrigerant lines and fittings. Also, be sure to very carefully follow the instructions under;
1. Refrigerant Recovery, Service and Repair
2. Adding Oil, Service and Repair
3. Evacuating and Charging Procedures for VDOT A/C Systems, Service and Repair

Remove sealing caps from subassemblies just before making the connections for final assembly. Always use new O-rings when assembling joints. When tightening joints, use a second wrench to hold one of the fittings and keep it from moving.

Tighten all tubing connections as shown in torque chart. Too little torque will result in loose joints; too much torque will cause deformed joint parts. Either condition will cause a refrigerant leak.
