Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

1. If none of the Stop Lights work, check the Brake Switch and CKT 140 and CKT 20 for continuity (see schematic).
2. If neither the Stop Lights nor Hazard Lights work, check the STOP HAZ Fuse.
3. If one of the Turn Indicators goes on when the Park Lights are turned on, check the Front Turn Light on that side.
4. For any of the following symptoms replace the Turn/Hazard-Headlight Switch Assembly:

^ Some Turn Lights work and all Hazard Lights work.
^ Some Hazard Lights work and all Turn Lights work.
^ Hazard Lights do not turn off.

5. If Turn Lights stay on (do not flash) with the Turn Switch in "LEFT" and "RIGHT," replace the Turn Flasher.
6. If Hazard Lights stay on (do not flash) with the Hazard Switch "ON," replace the Hazard Flasher.
7. If a Turn Indicator does not light, but the Turn Lights work, check the bulb, connections, and wiring to the indicator.
8. If neither the Park, Marker, nor Tail Lights work, check the TAIL LPS Fuse, CKT 240 and CKT 9, and the Headlight Switch for an open.
9. If only one light does not operate, check bulb, socket, and related wiring (see schematic).
10. If the Stop Lights stay on without the brake pedal depressed, adjust/replace the Brake Switch.
11. If the Park Lights do not turn off, replace the Turn/ Hazard-Headlight Switch Assembly.
12. If only the High Level Stop Light does not work, check the Brake Switch, High Level Stop Light, and CKT 20 and the CKT 150 for an open.
13. If a Turn Indicator lights steadily (does not flash) when the Turn Signal is on, check the Turn Lights on that side.
14. If the Turn Flasher cycles continuously on and off, check CKT 16 fro a short to ground.
