Cooling System Bleed

Fig. 23 Cooling System Bleed Vent:

1. Open vent valves located on the thermostat housing and throttle body return pipe above the water pump, Fig. 23. Turn both vents screws two to three turns.
2. Fill cooling system to the base of the radiator neck.
3. Close both vent valves. Do not over tighten vent valves.
4. On all models, install radiator cap.
5. Add sufficient coolant to the recovery tank.
6. Start engine and observe low coolant warning lamp.
7. If lamp remains On, repeat bleed procedure.
