Illuminated Entry and Security Lighting

Illuminated Entry and Security Lighting turns on the Courtesy Lights for approximately 30 seconds when the Ignition Switch is turned OFF and when one of the outside door handles (STE) or the LH Front Door Handle (Except STE) is lifted. The system includes the following components: Light Switch, Door Latch Switches, Courtesy Lights, and Diode Box (STE).
The Light Switch receives battery voltage through the Headlight Circuit Breaker at all times and through the INDIC Fuse in RUN, BULB TEST or START. When one of the outside door Handles (STE) or the LH Front Door Handle (Except STE) is lifted, the Door Latch Switch closes and grounds terminal D of the Light Switch. If the Ignition Switch is OFF and a door handle is lifted, a relay inside the Light Switch energizes and supplies a ground path to the Courtesy Lights.
