Test C: Speed Signal Test

With Ignition Switch in RUN, press the SET and SYSTEMS CHECK buttons on the Driver Information Center/Electronic Compass Display Assembly at the same time. The Display will show: AABB CDE. Raise the vehicle's drive wheels. Observe position "D" while turning the drive wheels.
^ If the display alternates between "H" and "L", check for a poor connection. If OK, replace the Driver Information Center/Electronic Compass Display.
^ If the display does not change between "H" and "L", check the DK GRN (389) wire for an open if "H" is always displayed or for a short to ground if "L" is always displayed. If wire is OK, and Speedometer operated correctly, check for a poor connection. If OK, replace the Driver Information Center/Electronic Compass Display.
