Pressure Method

During this procedure, fluid level in master cylinder must be maintained.

1. Disconnect quick connect fittings in clutch hydraulic line. Insert quick disconnect tool No. J-36221 or equivalent, and depress white plastic sleeve to separate connection.

2. Remove cap and diaphragm, and fill reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid.

3. Install pressure bleed adapter cap tool No. J-36234 or equivalent to reservoir and connect pressure bleeder.

4. Apply pressure not to exceed 30 lbs., to hydraulic system.

5. Depress internal valve at quick connect fitting. Do not use a sharp object.

6. Release internal valve when air is no longer visible.

7. Open internal valve and slowly depress clutch pedal. Close internal valve before releasing clutch pedal.

8. Repeat this procedure until air is no longer visible.

9. Reconnect clutch hydraulic line, then replace reservoir cap and diaphragm.
