Cooling System: Service and Repair
To ensure sufficient engine cooling, freezing and corrosion protection, maintain the protection level at - 34°F or lower. Use a solution of antifreeze and water, ensuring solution is no more than 70 percent antifreeze.
1. Fill surge tank or radiator to base of filler neck, then install pressure cap.
2. Block the drive wheel and apply parking brake.
3. On models equipped with automatic transaxle, place shifter in Park position.
4. On models equipped with manual transaxle, place transaxle in Neutral position.
5. On all models, start engine and allow to run until upper radiator hose is hot.
6. Turn engine Off, check level of coolant in surge tank or radiator.
7. Allow engine to cool, then add coolant as necessary.
