SPECIAL TOOL REQUIRED (or equivalent)
^ J-33302-25, Compressing fixture.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery ground cable.
2. Using J-33302-25, compress valve springs and remove rocker arms and valve lash compensators.
3. Camshaft sprocket.
4. Washer fluid reservoir.
5. Camshaft thrust plate from rear of camshaft carrier.
6. Slide camshaft rearward and remove camshaft from carrier.
7. Front camshaft oil seal.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New front oil seal onto camshaft carrier using fingers.
2. Position camshaft into carrier. Ensure not to damage front oil seal.
3. Rear camshaft thrust plate. Torque bolts to 8 Nm (71 in lbs).
4. Check camshaft end-play. End-play should be within 0.04 - 0.16 mm (0.016 - 0.064 in.).
5. Washer fluid reservoir.
6. Camshaft sprocket, timing belt and timing belt front cover.
7. Using J-33302-25, compress valve springs and install rocker arms and valve lash compensators.
