Throttle Body: Service and Repair
2.0L Throttle Body (turbo):
REMOVAL:
1. Remove the air inlet duct.
2. Disconnect the IAC and TPS electrical connectors.
3. Remove the vacuum lines.
4. Remove the throttle, TV (transmission control), and the cruise control cables.
5. Remove throttle body retaining bolts.
NOTE: Throttle body parts, except as noted below, may be cleaned in a cold immersion-type cleaner such as AC Delco X-55 or equivalent.
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve, throttle body with cover and seals or gaskets in place, should "NOT" be soaked in liquid solvent or cleaner, as they may be damaged. If the TPS or IAC valve is still mounted in the throttle body, Do Not immerse throttle body.
INSTALLATION:
1. Mount throttle body on the manifold and tighten bolts to 14-20 Nm (10-15 lb.ft).
2. Attach the throttle, TV (transmission control), and the cruise control cables.
3. Connect vacuum lines.
4. Connect the IAC and TPS electrical connectors.
5. Install and connect air inlet duct.
