SUBJECT:
RATTLE IN STEERING WHEEL RADIO/HVAC CONTROL SWITCHES
(REPLACE SWITCH)

MODELS:
1993 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE

Condition:
Some vehicles may exhibit a rattle in the steering wheel control switches when driving over rough road surfaces.

Cause:
The internal lamp standoff was not bonded to the lamp on parts built before March 15, 1993.

Correction:
Replace the steering wheel control switch with P/N 16179632 ensuring the part is stamped with a date code after March 15, 1993. Refer to Section 3F in the Service Manual for replacement procedure.
