Replace

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove instrument panel driver knee bolster assembly.

2. Disconnect clutch master cylinder push rod from clutch pedal assembly,
then raise and support vehicle.

3. Remove transmission assembly, then clutch actuator cylinder and retain with mechanics wire.

4. Remove transmission brace, then flywheel housing cover and flywheel housing assembly.

5. Remove clutch pressure plate, then clutch disc.

6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Torque pressure plate and cover bolts to 22 ft. lbs.

b. Align clutch disc and pressure plate using clutch alignment arbor tool No. J 38836 or equivalent.

c. Check for proper clutch fork to clutch release bearing engagement.
