Troubleshooting Hints

1. Check DR LK Fuse.
2. Check CTSY Fuse by operating the I/P Compartment Light.
3. Check for mechanical binds in the Door Lock System.
4. If one or more of the Door Lock Motors do not operate properly but the other Door Lock Motors function normally, check the wiring to the motors. If the wiring is OK, replace the motor.
5. If CTSY Fuse blows when a power Door Lock Switch is activated, check CKT 194, CKT 195 and Multi-function Alarm Module for a short to ground.
6. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it will not reset until voltage is removed from the motor.
7. If the Door LK Fuse blows when a Power Door Lock Switch is activated, check CKT 295 and CKT 294 for a short to ground.
8. If Electronic PRNDL does not operate, see ELECTRONIC PRNDL section.
9. If LH Front Door Lock is the only inoperative lock, and the vehicle is equipped with the Keyless Entry Feature, refer to KEYLESS ENTRY section.

NOTE: Automatic Door Lock feature is controlled by the Multi-function Alarm Module. Verify that all chime alarms operate and that the Illuminated Entry feature operates before diagnosing any Automatic Door Lock problem.
