CIRCUIT OPERATION

DOOR COURTESY/WARNING, INSIDE LIGHTED MIRROR, I/P COURTESY, REAR COURTESY/READING AND DOME LAMPS

Voltage is applied through the CTSY Fuse at all times to the Door Courtesy/Warning Lights, Inside Lighted Mirror Lamps, I/P Courtesy Lamps, Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps and to the Dome Lamps. The Door Courtesy/Warning Lighted Mirror, I/P Courtesy, Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps and the Dome Lamps will light whenever a door is opened or whenever the Headlight Switch is turned to "CTSY".

The Inside Lighted Mirror Lamps and the Rear Courtesy/Reading Lamps also have a separate switch in the circuit. When turned to "ON," this switch allows for individual operation of these Lamps.

LH (STE) AND RH VANITY MIRROR AND UNDERHOOD LAMP
Voltage is applied through the CTSY Fuse at all times to the LH (STE) and RH Vanity Mirror Lamps and to the Underhood Lamp. The LH (STE) and RH Vanity Mirror Lamps will light whenever the Visor is pulled down and the cover is opened. The Underhood Lamp will light whenever the hood is opened.

CIGAR LIGHTER AND I/P COMPARTMENT LAMP
Voltage is applied through the CTSY Fuse at all times to the Cigar Lighter and I/P Compartment Lamp. The Cigar Lighter has a heating element that, when pushed in, completes the circuit and begins to heat. When the element is sufficiently heated, the Cigar Lighter opens the circuit. The I/P Compartment Lamp will light whenever the I/P Compartment is opened.
