Valve Body Replace

1. Disconnect negative battery cable and remove air cleaner assembly.

2. Remove exhaust crossover pipe and bolt at top of transaxle mount bracket.

3. Install engine support fixture tool No. J-28467-A, engine support fixture adapter tool No. J-28467-90 and engine support adapter leg tool No. J-36462 or equivalents.

4. Raise and support vehicle, then remove left front tire and wheel assembly.

5. Remove left inner splash shield.

6. Remove transaxle mount and loosen engine mount nuts at frame.

7. Remove pinch bolt at intermediate steering shaft.

8. Disconnect ball joints at steering knuckle.

9. Support left and right sides of frame with jack stands.

10. Remove left side frame to body bolts, then loosen right side frame to body bolts.

11. Remove left side steering rack bolt and left side drive axle.

12. Remove transaxle mount bracket and case side cover pan.

13. Disconnect electrical connectors from pressure switches.

14. Remove pump to valve body bolts. Do not remove the three screws that hold the pump assembly together.

15. Remove valve body to channel plate bolts.

16. Remove valve body, keeping spacer plate with transaxle.

17. Reverse procedure to install.
