Removal and Installation









Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain and recover the cooling system.
3. Forward lamp harness from the frame and unplug the fan connector.
4. Fan attaching bolts
5. Hood latch from the radiator support.

Note: Scribe a line around the latch location before removing it so it can be reinstalled in the same location.

6. Radiator air inlet ducts.
7. Coolant hoses from the radiator.
8. Transaxle fluid cooler lines from the radiator.

Note: If equipped with A/C, radiator/condenser assembly: radiator to condenser bolts (4) and radiator tank to refrigerant line clamp bolt.

9. Radiator-to-radiator support attaching bolts and clamps.
10. Radiator.


Install or Connect
1. Radiator in vehicle, place bottom of radiator on lower mounting pads.
2. Radiator-to-radiator support attaching clamp and bolts. Tighten screws to 6 Nm (53 lb. in.).

Note: If equipped, radiator to condenser bolts (4) and condenser bolt to refrigerant line clamp bolt.

3. Transaxle fluid cooler lines. Tighten pipe connections to 20 Nm (15 lb. ft.).

4. Coolant hoses to the radiator.
5. Radiator air inlet ducts.
6. Hood latch to the radiator support.
7. Fan, making sure the bottom leg of the frame fits into the rubber grommet (where used) at the lower radiator support. Install the retaining bolts and tighten.
8. Fan connector, then attach the forward lamp harness to the fan frame.

Important: Be sure to connect the engine ground strap (if used) to the strut brace.

9. Fill cooling system.
10. Negative battery cable.
11. Inspect for leaks.
