Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATIONThe Radio receives voltage through four paths:
^ Voltage is applied to the radio on-off Switch from Fuse 13 and the YEL (43) wire;
^ Fuse 15, which is hot at all times, keeps the solid state digital clock, date and radio station memory circuits alive when the ignition switch is OFF (RED/YEL wire);
^ Voltage from Fuse 2 controls the radio's panel light (GRY wire);
^ A digital dim voltage is also applied (BRN wire) and dims the digital display when the headlights or park lights are turned on.
