Troubleshooting Hints

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (Perform before beginning System Diagnosis)

1. Check the ALARM Fuse by operating the Cigar lighter.

2. The Multi-function Alarm Module that controls the Seat Belt Retractor Solenoids also controls Interior Lights and the chime alarms and Fasten Belts Indicator. For the complete schematic refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Audible Warning Device/Diagrams Audible Warning Device

3. Check that the Multi-function Alarm Module is properly seated.

4. If key-in-ignition, lights-on, fasten belts chime or Fasten Belts Indicator does not operate, refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Audible Warning Device. Audible Warning Device

5. If Fasten Belts Indicator is not operating properly, refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Audible Warning Device. Audible Warning Device

NOTE:
^ Automatic Seat Belt Feature is controlled by the Multifunction Alarm Module. Verify that all chime alarms operate. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Audible Warning Device.
