LOCK HOUSING COVER, COLUMN HOUSING COVER END CAP, PIVOT & PULSE SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH ROD ACTUATOR & TILT SPRING

DISASSEMBLE
1. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove tilt lever, cover screws and lock housing cover assembly. Let cover hang freely.
4. Remove column housing cover end cap with dimmer switch rod actuator, then the actuator from end cap.
5. Remove switch actuator pivot pin, then the pivot and pulse switch assembly.
6. Remove spring retainer using a cross recess head screwdriver to push retainer down and turn clockwise to release.
7. Remove spring and spring guide.

ASSEMBLE
Ensure all fasteners are securely seated before applying torque. Failure to do so may result in component damage or malfunctioning of steering column.

1. Install spring guide and spring. Lubricate with lithium grease.
2. Install spring retainer using a cross recess head screwdriver to push retainer down and turn clockwise to lock in place.
3. Install pivot and pulse switch assembly to lock housing cover assembly, then the switch actuator pivot pin to switch and cover.
4. Install dimmer switch rod actuator to column housing cover end cap. Lubricate with lithium grease.
5. Install end cap with actuator to lock housing cover assembly. Bottom edge of dimmer switch rod actuator should rest on bend in dimmer switch rod.
6. Install lock housing cover assembly and mounting screws. Tighten screw in 12 o'clock position first, screw in 8 o'clock position second, and screw in 3 o'clock position third. Torque screws in same order to 80 lb in
7. Install tilt lever.
