New Design Input Clutches
As of August 22, 1995, (Julian 234) all 1995 4T60-E models received an updated input clutch pack. The new steel discs are thicker, while the new friction plates are thinner than previous designs.
The newly designed pack can be used to service previous year 4T60-E applications. Mixing of the previously designed discs and the new design discs could result in stack up clearance problems, therefore mixing of the two designs is not recommended.
