Removal and Installation

FRONT INTERMEDIATE DRIVE SHAFT

1. Install engine support fixture tool No. J-28467-A, or equivalent, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove right tire assembly. Using shop towels, protect outer joint front any sharp edges.
3. Remove stabilizer shaft from right control arm, then disconnect right ball joint from knuckle.
4. Remove rear engine mount through bolt, then separate drive axle from intermediate shaft.
5. Remove intermediate shaft support bracket to engine bolts.
6. Disengage intermediate shaft from transaxle, then remove intermediate shaft from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, tighten to specification.
