Piston, Connecting Rod and Bearing Removal

TOOLS REQUIRED
^ J 41507 Connecting Rod Assembly Guide
^ Or equivalents

PROCEDURE
1. Mark the connecting rod cap and rod in order to reassemble the cap and rod properly.





2. Remove the connecting rod bolts.
3. Remove the connecting rod cap.
4. Install the J 41507 to the connecting rod. Securely hand tighten the tool to the connecting rod.
5. Use hand pressure on the J 41507 in order to push the connecting rod towards the top of the cylinder.

CAUTION: Remove any carbon or ridge at the top of the cylinder bore in order to avoid damaging the piston ring lands.





6. Remove the piston and the connecting rod from the top of the cylinder.
7. Remove the bearings.
