Automatic Control A/C Programmer (RPO C68, CJ2)


PROGRAMMER (RPO C68 or CJ2)

Programmer Assembly And Temperature Valve Link:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

- Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts / Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems). Air Bag Systems

1. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) from attaching bracket.
- Let PCM hang, leave wires attached.
2. Vacuum and side electrical connector from programmer.
3. Temperature valve link rod.
- Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to rod.
4. Programmer attaching screws.
5. Temperature valve actuator connector.
- Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to connector.
6. Programmer.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Programmer in position.
2. Temperature valve actuator connector.
- Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to connector.
3. Programmer attaching screws.
- Tighten screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb. in.).
4. Electrical and vacuum connectors.
5. Temperature valve link rod to air mix valve.
- Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to rod.
- Adjust Temperature Valve Link Rod, refer to Temperature Valve Link Adjustment.
6. PCM to bracket.
- Enable SIR system, Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts. Air Bag Systems

TEMPERATURE VALVE LINK ADJUSTMENT
1. Pull valve link from retainer on programmer output crank (if not left disassembled).
2. Start car; set fan to HI and temperature to 33°C (90°F). If ambient temperature is above 33°C (90°F), disconnect in-vehicle temperature sensor.
3. Allow 45 seconds minimum for programmer motor to move output crank to its full hot position. Then move temperature valve to full hot position; snap valve link into retainer on output crank.
