A/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor

PURPOSE
This signal is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to cycle the A/C clutch "ON" and "OFF." The PCM will cycle the clutch "ON" at 4°C (39°F) and "OFF" at 2°C (36°F). A failure in the A/C evaporator temperature sensor circuit will result in a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 71 and A/C clutch would be disabled.
