DTC 98

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 98 or 99 will be stored when an invalid program is detected by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Reprogram the PCM. If DTC 98 or 99 continues to be displayed using a Tech 1 scan tool (or equivalent), replace PCM.

NOTE: The Knock Sensor (KS) module must be transferred to the replacement PCM.
