Troubleshooting Hints

Note: If the vehicle is left for 24 or more days without the Ignition Switch being put in "RUN," the Radio will lose station preset and clock memory.

1. Check RDO IGN Fuse by visual inspection.
2. Before troubleshooting a suspect speaker, check all connections to that speaker.
3. For proper noise diagnosis, take the car outside where signals are strong. Close the hood, and keep away from metal buildings or sources of Radio interference.
4. Ignition noise on FM may indicate a defective ignition system.
5. Coated screws or bolts can cause a poor ground connection. Scrape ground screws or bolts clean of any paint or varnish.
6. Adjusting Radio controls will change the operation of the sound system.
