Circuit Operation - Electronic PRNDL

The Electronic PRNDL Display feature indicates the transaxle gear selector position to the driver by using the Park/Neutral Position Switch and the Electronic PRNDL Control Module. Battery voltage is supplied to the Electronic PRNDL Control Module with the Ignition Switch in the "OFF," and in "RUN," and to the Park/Neutral Position Switch in "RUN," "BULB TEST," or "START."

The Electronic PRNDL Control Module has 4 transaxle position inputs which are either switched to ground or left open by the Park/Neutral Position Switch, depending on the transaxle position selected. The Electronic PRNDL Control Module decodes these inputs and lights the corresponding PRNDL indicator.

The Electronic PRNDL Control Module has a lights-ON Input (CKT 8) that causes the PRNDL display to dim to the present dimmer control level with the Park Lights or Headlights ON.
