SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

Subject:
Section 6E3 - Driveability and Emissions - Revised OBD System Check, Chart A-1 No MIL, Chart A-2 No Data or MIL ON Steady

Models:
1995 Chevrolet Cavalier
1995 Pontiac Sunfire
with 2.2L Engine (VIN 4 - RPO LN2)

This bulletin is being issued to revise the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check, Chart A-1 No Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (Check Engine), Chart A-2 No DLC Data or No MIL Control or MIL "ON" Steady charts in the 1995 J Service Manual (Book 2 of 2) labeled GMP/95-J-2. The electrical schematic used for each of the mentioned charts has the PCM battery feed fuse incorrectly labeled. This is the fuse used to power circuit 480 ORN to the PCM. The fuse should be labeled PCM (Relay Center) and the amperage rating should be 10 amps. Correct reference to this change can be found in the 2.3L section of this manual on page 6E3-A-16.

Please make a note of this correction in your Service Manual.
