Section 10 - Revised Service Procedure for Dome Lamp Lens
Models:
1995 Chevrolet Cavalier
1995 Pontiac Sunfire
The following information replaces the service procedure for the dome lamp lens on page 10-9-5 of the Service Manual.
DOME LAMP LENS WITHOUT MAP LIGHTS REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. From the rear of the dome lamp lens, insert a flat blade tool between the dome lamp lens and the headlining trim finish panel, (refer to Figure 1).
2. With the flat bladed tool, push the tab at the rear of the dome lamp lens forward to disengage tab from the headlining trim finish panel (refer to Figure 1).
3. Pull the dome lamp lens rearward to disengage the two tabs at the front of the dome lamp lens.
Install or Connect
1. Insert the two forward tabs on the dome lamp lens into the appropriate holes in the headlining trim finish panel.
2. Push at the rear of the dome lamp lens until the rear tab is fully seated in the headlining trim finish panel.
DOME LAMP LENS WITH MAP LIGHTS REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. From the rear of the dome lamp lens, insert a flat blade tool between the dome lamp lens and the headlining trim finish panel, (refer to Figure 2).
2. With the flat bladed tool, push the tab at the rear of dome lamp lens rearward to disengage tab from the dome lamp housing, (refer to Figure 2).
3. Push the dome lamp lens forward to disengage the two tabs at the front of the dome lamp lens.
Install or Connect
1. Insert the two forward tabs on the dome lamp lens into the appropriate holes in the headlining trim finish panel.
2. Push at the rear of the dome lamp lens until the rear tab is fully seated in the headlining trim finish panel.
