Deck Lid/Hatch Release

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. Check relay center fuse #2.
2. Visually inspect trunk lid release solenoid connector and associated wiring.
3. Check that the gear selector lever is in PARK.
4. Check that the valet switch (if equipped) is in UNLOCK.
5. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and related harness connectors.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
7. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with system disconnected. (Refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
