Auto Door Locks (ADL)

The Auto Door Lock feature is programmable by the owner for 4 different lock and unlock modes.

Buick and Oldsmobile

^ ADL Mode 0 - No automatic door lock or unlock.

^ ADL Mode 1 - Automatic all door lock when transmission is shifted out of Park, but no automatic door unlock.

^ ADL Mode 2 - Automatic all door lock when transmission is shifted out of Park. Automatic driver door unlock when transmission is shifted into Park.

^ ADL Mode 3 - Automatic all door lock when transmission is shifted out of Park. Automatic all door unlock when transmission is shifted into park.

With the ignition on, vehicle in Park (P) and all doors closed, press and hold the door lock switch in the LOCK position. While holding the door lock switch, press the LOCK button on the customer's transmitter. After initial activation of the transmitter LOCK button, each additional activation will increment the ADL mode by one, starting from the current ADL mode. If cycled beyond ADL Mode 3, the RFA shall enter Mode 0. During this customization procedure, the Automatic Door Lock and Unlock shall operate as defined, providing the customer with feedback of the current ADL mode. When the door lock switch is released, the RFA shall remain in the recent ADL mode. Since Mode 0 has no ADL functions, no feedback is provided.

While in the customization procedure, if ignition voltage is lost or any door is opened, the ADL procedure shall be terminated and the RFA system shall remain in the most recent mode.

Pontiac

Pontiac Bonneville's ADL feature is different than Buick and Oldsmobile's. The Bonneville will LOCK the doors when the shifter is moved out of PARK, and UNLOCK the doors only when the ignition key is moved to the OFF position. Moving the shifter back into PARK will not UNLOCK the doors.

Automatic driver door unlock when key is turned to the "Off" position.

^ ADL Mode 3 - Automatic all door lock when transmission is shifted out of Park. Automatic all door unlock when key is turned to the "Off" position.
