Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check Fusible Link E for open.
2. Check for Body Control Module DTCs. Refer to Computers and Control Systems. Computers and Control Systems
3. Check WINDOWS Circuit Breaker 15 and RADIO Fuse 17 for an open. If open, replace fuse or circuit breaker. If fuse blows again or circuit breaker reopens, schematics and DVM to check suspect power circuit for a short to ground potential, either through a faulty component or wiring.
4. Check for poor connections at C200 terminals "C1" and "C6".
5. Check that G200 is clean and tight.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer "Troubleshooting Procedures"). Diagnostic Aids
