Security Indicator L.E.D. Output

The security indicator lamp diode on the top of the upper trim panel provides the status of the alarm system and acts as a theft deterrent to potential thieves, warning them that the vehicle has an alarm system. The status of the alarm system can be determined by the output of the security indicator lamp as described below:
^ Lamp blinking once a second - Door is open, alarm system is not armed.
^ Lamp on steady - Alarm system is waiting for the doors to close before arming or during a three second bulb test at ignition on.
^ Lamp flashes briefly every two seconds - Alarm system is armed.
^ Lamp flashes twice every 2 seconds - Alarm system is armed and the shock sensor triggered a two-minute alarm.
^ Lamp flashes three times every 2 seconds - Alarm system is armed and there was an intrusion that sounded the alarm.
^ Lamp off - Alarm system is off, disarmed, or a door is opened for more than 10 minutes.
