Horn: Description and Operation

Battery voltage is applied at all times to the Horn Relay at terminals "A2" and "C2". A ground path is provided to the Horn Relay Coil at terminal "A1" by the Inflator Module, when it is pressed to contact through the Steering wheel Pad, against a spring loaded ground plate in the Steering wheel, or when the Body Control Module (BCM) initiates a tamper I alarm cycle. The Horn Relay contacts close, applying battery voltage to the Horns. The Horns continue to sound until the Inflator Module is released, or the tamper/alarm cycle ends.
