Interior Lamps Dimming
Voltage is applied at all times to Light 1 Relay. When the Light Switch is turned to PARK or HEAD, a ground is supplied to the coil of Light 1 Relay. With power and ground applied to the coil of the relay, the coil is energized and the contacts are closed. Voltage is applied to the Illumination Controller and all of the Illumination Lamps. The Lamps are grounded through the Illumination Controller. Since the Illumination Controller is grounded through the Junction Block at G203, the Illumination Lamps light when voltage is applied. The brilliance of the lamps is controlled by the Illumination Controller. The Illumination Controller controls the amount of current applied to the lamps as the knob is either turned clockwise (more current) or counterclockwise (less current). As the amount of current increases, the lamps become brighter. As the amount of current decreases, the lamps become dimmer.
