Troubleshooting Hints - Exterior Lights

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. For inoperative Park Lamps.
^ Check the TAIL Fuse with a fuse tester.
^ Check that Light Relay No.1 is securely mounted in Relay Box.
^ Check for an open or shorted filament within the inoperative bulb.
^ Make sure that grounds G102, G103, G201 and G400 are clean and tight.
2. For inoperative Turn/Hazard Lamps.
^ Check the BACK Fuse with a fuse tester.
^ Check the HAZ Fuse with a fuse tester.
^ Check that the Turn/Hazard Flasher is securely mounted in the Junction Block.
^ Check for an open or a shorted filament within the inoperative bulb.
^ Check that grounds G102, G103, G203 and G400.
3. For inoperative Stoplamps.
^ Check the STOP fuse with a fuse tester.
^ Make sure the Stoplamp Switch is properly adjusted.
^ Check for an open or shorted filament within the inoperative bulb.
^ Check that grounds G400 and G401 are clean and tight.
4. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
