Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair
REPLACE1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Drain transaxle fluid.
3. Remove transaxle oil pan and gasket.
4. Remove oil filter assembly.
5. Using a small screwdriver, remove filter neck seal from transaxle case and discard. Be careful not to score case during seal removal.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Oil pan gasket may be reused, unless sealing ribs are damaged.
b. Install new oil filter and seal. Tap gently and evenly on the seal to prevent damage to case bore or seal.
c. Tighten pan bolts to specifications.
