Shift Indicator - A/T: Testing and Inspection

If the UPSHIFT lamp does not operate properly:

Use the TECH-1 to monitor PCM to IPC Normal Mode Communication. If the UPSHIFT Telltale reading corresponds with the malfunctioning lamp, refer to Computers and Controls / System Diagnosis to diagnose the PCM. If the UPSHIFT Telltale reading is not the same as the lamp, then replace the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
