Upper Pinion Bushing and Pinion Shaft Seal

Fig. 36 Pinion Shaft Seal & Bushing Removal:

1. Remove upper pinion bushing and seal with a forceful punch, then install new bushing, Fig. 36.
2. Using pinion seal installer, tool No. J 29822, or equivalent, seat new seal in housing with seal tip facing up.
